Hope in Hardship: When Prayers Seem Unanswered
Have you been praying for something for a long time and it hasn’t happened yet? I think at times we all have. Look, we all know that life isn't always easy, I dig it. And more so for a Christian who wants to live a life contrary to the world's philosophies. Sometimes it is tempting to throw in the towel. And there are other times when we go through situations that make us think that God seems to come through for everybody else, but not for us. I sure have, this has been a tough four years. But as James said we are blessed that persevere. I’ve written about Job a few times, we will never have it as tough as Job. But his perseverance showed the Lords compassion and mercy. You see, we are living in a fallen world where some things are inevitable. We lose our loved ones, our careers, financial crunches, health crisis, etc. But there is a big difference when a believer goes through difficult times and when an unbeliever does, the difference being HOPE. We have an unshakable hope of eternal life. “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”2 Corinthians 4:17-18I can’t get enough of this…like, for real. Be Nice. Grace Wins.
