Am I Doing Enough With What I Have Left?
Giving my current unique circumstances, I am wondering if I’m doing enough. Not enough by way of treatment, this isn’t a cancer thing, but enough by way of am I doing enough with what I have left. God has blessed me with certain skills, traits and talents. Am I using them correctly, efficiently? Am I using using it to glorify Him and spread good fruit? Simply, am I on the right path…are you?Listen, I feel I need to say that first of all, time is quickly running out. We need to act upon the prompting of the Holy Spirit, then get confirmation of that call through the written Word of God, and from trusted fellow believers. And then do it man! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”Proverbs 3:5-6 Every single one of us must start somewhere. Like Paul on the road to Damascus, Peter leaving his nets or Moses leaving his father-in-law Jethro's sheep. This takes faith! Period.Remember, Jesus doesn't use the sharpest tool in the shed. (Take me for example) No, He uses those who will raise their hand and say, "Lord all I have are two small fishes and five small barley loaves of bread". Jesus will reply, "That's more than enough", then multiply them to feed a multitude of starving souls. The Big Man is calling us to get started and to use what we have. It might only be a stick, just like what Moses had, but for Jesus that's more than enough.I have spoken to many people who are worried because of their past. Maybe they have been through a divorce, maybe they did something illegal, maybe they have been to prison, maybe they had a drinking problem, whatever...The point is, Is there any hope left for me? That's the real question. Well, the answer is good news; the Lord specializes in taking failures and turning them inside out and making them successes. You don’t have to look to far to find them either...Y’all have a great weekend!Be Nice. Grace wins.
