Be Strong and Courageous - Life's Risky Business
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."”Joshua 1:9 Some people seem to play life so safe against risk that they have little or no strength left to pursue their dreams and accomplish their goals. Life is risky business. I know risk intimately. However, I have heard of people walking down the street and breaking their ankle, or driving to work and experiencing a head-on collision, but I still walk down the street and drive to work...and I still race Motocross. I’ve said the day I quit doing what I love because of fear, is the day I get run over walking to the mailbox. The famous motivational speaker Jim Rohn once said, “Life is risky. Let me tell you how risky it is...you won’t make it out alive.”A ship left in the harbor will eventually corrode and rot because of the corrosive elements of the sea. So staying put is as risky as launching out into the deep. On every voyage there’s a risk of meeting a storm or two, but a ship equipped with the sails of faith will be able to make it through.Cast off your fear and make preparations. When the storms of life come, God will show you what emotional cargo should be thrown overboard to preserve your life.Trust in him. You got this. Have a great weekend!Be Nice, Grace Wins.

The Devil Hates Your Rest
The feeling of needing rest is usually a starving spiritual need. Rest isn't a luxury, it's a requirement. The devil thrives in our busyness. When we rest well, we become more like Jesus.

Non-Anxious Presence
Non-anxious presence means staying peaceful when everyone else is losing it. Jesus slept through a storm and fed thousands unbothered. That's the peace worth chasing, the kind that comes from Him.

Be Still and Know
Be still and know that I am God. Even the word Selah in this psalm is a call to pause. Stop trying to figure everything out on your own. He is our refuge and our strength.
