Breaking Free from the Father of Lies
Why do people tell lies? We live in a world full of them. Well, that’s easy. Because lying might enable guilty people to escape responsibility and consequences for their misdeeds. Because lying might preserve the illusion of their innocence. Because lying helps the sinner avoid having to face up to the ugly and soul-polluting reality of the sin. But here’s the problem man, when you tell lies, you not only lie to a person, you are also lying to yourself. And if you do that often enough, you will lose your ability to tell the difference between truth and lie. Furthermore, you are lying to God, damaging your relationship with him. Words of truth are his saving lifeline to us, when we trash the truth, we risk the gospel itself. Jesus once called lying Satan’s native language, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”John 8:44 You can’t control what other people do with their mouths, but you can control your own. Let your love for God be accompanied by a love for truth, for all truth is His. Trust that He will bless you for telling the truth, even when you fear it will cost you. In the long run, your life will be better. Have a great day!Be Nice. Grace wins.

Sorry Enough to Change
There's a big difference between saying sorry and actually being sorry. Repentance means turning away from the wrong, sorry enough to change. God's love means He will always forgive us.

Retreat or Restore
After our greatest failures, we want to hide. But hiding means nobody helps clean up the mess. Real men own up, confess, and let God cleanse. Retreat or repent and restore, what will you choose?

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.
