Casting Anxieties on the One Who Cares
Sure is a whole lot of anxiety going on in the world today...unreal! I’m not suggesting I don’t sense a small bit of it, but nothing like what I’m seeing going on around me. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:6-7 Most people will deal with anxiety at some point in there lives. But notice this verse doesn’t say we, as Christians, will never struggle with fear; instead, it says to cast those fears and anxieties on the one who cares the most. When we worry, we take the promises God has for us and chunk them out the window. The way to fight the unbelief of pride and the lies of worry is to flee from self-reliance and turn to God-reliance and admit that you have anxieties, and hold to the promise of amazing grace in the words, “He cares for you.”When your life is spinning out of control and you’re totally losing it, know God is with you. He wants you to humble yourself and put your faith in Him and Him alone. You see, whatever mountain you’re facing in life, rest in the fact that you have a Heavenly Father who cares enough to die for you. You no longer have to cling to the weight of fear and anxiety. Remember to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you.Be Nice, Grace Wins
