Finding Peace in a Chaotic World
I was talking to a friend last night and I somewhat in jest said, “I wish the world would just let me live in peace!” Ever felt this way?We live in a world where there are so many situations, people and voices that want to steal our peace. But as children of God, I believe that we must have an attitude that says "let me live in peace" to situations that try to anguish our heart, extinguish our faith and steal our trust. If the situations around you steal your peace, it is not because they have greater authority in your life, but because you have given permission for that to happen. Our inner peace is our responsibility. I know it hard, it is for me, but it’s on us. Jesus will give us peace. He never promised a life free of challenges, problems or temptations, but time and time again He reminds us in the Scriptures that "even in the midst of tribulation and adversity" we can find peace within ourselves.“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”John 14:27 Be Nice, Grace Wins
