Finding Peace Through Prayer in Anxious Times
Well it looks like we are going to be doing this until at least April 30th, huh?“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7 But you know what? Whether is C-19 or meeting work goals, isn't it crazy how we all seem to struggle with anxiety in this day and time? Over the years, I have tried several solutions to whatever my mind might bring to light, but the most effective, and at the same time the most difficult solution for my daily worries is the digging into The Word. The Word of God gives us so much more than just a sentence to get us though a bad day. The key to getting into His Word, however, is that we have to do the work. We can't just sit back and expect God to wave a magic wand and help us. Part of the blessing of anxiety and worry is that it will drive us closer in our relationship with God, if we let it. Key there, if we let it...When you’re having trouble, pray about it. How often do we bring our worries to God first? God wants us to depend on Him. He wants to be the first place we turn when we are facing a difficulty. After we bring our requests to God, we must have gratitude. You see, when we stay in The Word, we become mindful of His Grace and we begin to see that our troubles are only temporary. Be Nice, Grace Wins.

The Devil Hates Your Rest
The feeling of needing rest is usually a starving spiritual need. Rest isn't a luxury, it's a requirement. The devil thrives in our busyness. When we rest well, we become more like Jesus.

Non-Anxious Presence
Non-anxious presence means staying peaceful when everyone else is losing it. Jesus slept through a storm and fed thousands unbothered. That's the peace worth chasing, the kind that comes from Him.

Be Still and Know
Be still and know that I am God. Even the word Selah in this psalm is a call to pause. Stop trying to figure everything out on your own. He is our refuge and our strength.
