Forgiveness Sets You Free
One of my most favorite topics to discuss is forgiveness. If you’ve been in this devotional journey with me for the last seven and a half years, you know I like to talk about it. But why you may ask? Well, it’s forgiveness that has given us the hope for an eternal life with our maker and it’s forgiveness that will set us free. “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”Ephesians 4:31-32 Look, I get it as well as anyone. Anger, rage, resentfulness, or frustration can lead to serious physical and mental problems. Our mind is constantly under stress even in our sleep. If those emotions are caused by the behavior of others, there is only one way to free yourself, we got to forgive. Otherwise, their actions will haunt you forever. Forgiving is something you do not only do for the sake of the one you're forgiving, but for your own sake as well. It's not easy man, but it's important for you in order to set yourself free. Don't worry, God's got your back. With His help, you can do any thing. Ask him for guidance. He will help navigate you through the process.Nelson Mandela is credited for saying, “hatred is like drinking poison and then waiting for it to kill your enemy”. Y’all have a great weekend…I need some rest. Be Nice. Grace Wins.
