God Gives Grace to the Humble

God gives grace to those who seek humility, which means that if you are battling pride with humility, God will help you win your war. If in humility you submit yourself to God, you can by God’s power resist the devil.All sin is birthed out of pride. All virtue, all holiness, and all glory to God are birthed out of humility.“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”James 4:6-7 Yesterday, the Lord called home the most humble and righteous man I’ve ever known, my uncle Al Mann. In my life, I’ve never known a man who so selflessly put others before him like he did. He was loved by all who met him and many men strived to be like him. I have heard it said many times, often by my dad, “never a finer man has drawn a breath..”. I know in my heart he is with my dad, his little brother, in heaven and wouldn’t come back if he had the chance. Have you humbled yourself to the Lord? How will you be remembered?
