Do You Want to Get Well? Breaking Free from Limiting Labels
Ok, here’s the deal. We can only break our dependency on defining ourselves by our circumstances if we wrestle with Jesus’ question: Do you want to get well?If we genuinely desire wellness in all areas of our lives: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, we must let go of the labels we have allowed to define us. We must stop seeing ourselves as victims of our circumstances and instead start seeing our circumstances as subject to the authority and healing power of Jesus Christ. We are victors, not victims! Our tendency for dependency is nothing new. Jesus came across a lot of people who thought they were trapped by their circumstances or limited by their wounds. With His love, power, and grace Jesus put a beat down on their excuses and ignited their initiative to live by faith, not by sight.Stop holding on to the labels other have placed upon you or the self imposed labels of your circumstance. Cast your worries on Jesus and He will lift you up from the place you think there is no exit. “One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Get up, take up your bed, and walk." And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath.”John 5:5-9 Be Nice, Grace Wins!

Setback, Not Defeat
How fast do you bounce back after a loss? Low faith opens the door to fear, and fear invites shame. But a setback is not a defeat. Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial.

Take Every Thought Captive
Loss makes the dark thoughts show up fast. We have to take every thought captive and gauge it against God's Word. Paul told us what to think about. Ask God to help. He will.

Nothing Compares
Much of what we're grateful for are things of this world. But in light of what we have in Christ, nothing compares. Nothing this world offers comes close to a personal relationship with Jesus.
