Grace to Start Over: A Different Life Beyond Understanding
One of the things I think about a lot is the grace that God has shown me. Like in the song, “I was blind but now I see..”. But no matter how grateful I am, I still have the moments when I think back on my life to times that make me cringe. I look back and realize no matter how hard I tried, I made a mess of things. And now that I see things more clearly, I’d love another chance. But I am not sure I have it coming...I mean, why would I? Right? But we do!You see, Inside each of us is the conviction that we came from goodness and love and that we’re made for more of it. When we hit bottom and realize what a mess we have made of this life, and what a mess life has made of us, our reaction is to say, “I wish I could start over.”The beautiful thing is, you can start over. Your intuition about your origins in goodness and love is absolutely correct. God allows you to start over again. But the funny thing is we usually want to go back to the way things were and do it better, but God has other plans for us. He doesn’t want us to go back and do it better, He wants us to live a different life. One beyond our own understanding. It’s not just your future that changes when you find your way to God but your past and your present as well.“I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.”Psalms 57:2 Much Love,

Not Earned
Confidence in our salvation doesn't come from our good works, it comes from God's grace. Our good works are the result of our faith, not a requirement for it.

The Sixty-Fifth Time
Sixty-five rounds of Keytruda. Plenty of days I asked God to take it away. So did Paul. God said no, then said something better: my grace is sufficient, my power is perfect in weakness.

He Loved First
Watching the sun come up, I can't help but marvel at what God has made. Loving Someone you can't see takes faith. But faith and action don't earn His love, He loved us first.
