He Chose You First
The definition of restore is to "bring back," to reinstate. And if we're honest, most of us are always working to restore our relationship with Christ. We drift, we come back. We get distracted, we come back. It's a cycle we all know too well. But that's the thing. He is the Shepherd and we are the sheep. We wander. It's what we do.
But here's the part we tend to forget. God is always the pursuer. He's the seeker, the good shepherd out looking for His lost, wandering sheep. If you're a Christian today, it's not because you sought God. It's because God sought you.
Jesus said it Himself in John 15:16, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you."
Read that again. You didn't choose Him. He chose you. Before you ever turned around, He was already coming after you. Before you ever whispered that first prayer, He was already in pursuit.
So as we continue to seek God and restore our relationship with Him, let's remember where it all starts. It starts with Him. God is the pursuer and He is pursuing you, fighting for you, empowering you, and restoring you. Not because you earned it. Because He loves you. It's that simple.
Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Not Earned
Confidence in our salvation doesn't come from our good works, it comes from God's grace. Our good works are the result of our faith, not a requirement for it.

The Sixty-Fifth Time
Sixty-five rounds of Keytruda. Plenty of days I asked God to take it away. So did Paul. God said no, then said something better: my grace is sufficient, my power is perfect in weakness.

He Loved First
Watching the sun come up, I can't help but marvel at what God has made. Loving Someone you can't see takes faith. But faith and action don't earn His love, He loved us first.
