I’ve really been digging into forgiveness, so bear with me a little. It’s on my heart and tuned in right now. I hope you’re enjoying my writings.Let’s talk repentance. I’ve done a lot of it...ha!!“Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive him."”Luke 17:3-4 Have you ever said you’re sorry to someone but inside you really didn’t mean it? Come on, be honest. Yeah, that’s what I thought. The truth is, we all have. There is a big difference between saying you’re sorry and actually being sorry and that’s where repentance comes in.Repentance means to literally turn away from the wrong that you did and to dislike it so much that you want nothing to do with it. For the years I drank, I know I hurt people with my actions and words. Repentance doesn’t just say sorry; it's an actual state of being sorry enough to change.God’s love for us is so deep that no matter how many times we’re actually sorry for anything that we’ve done, He will always forgive us.Is there anyone you need to say your sorry to? Is there anything in your life or the way you’re living you’re ashamed of or you need to change? I know I had plenty. Go do it! Make the change and if you’re truly sorry, ask for forgiveness and you will be forgiven. I love you all, thanks for listening. Peace,
