Jesus Doesn't Give Peace, He Is Peace
As I continue down this path of treatment now for the last four years, somethings happening. What started as my season full of anxiety and worry is becoming, oddly peaceful…Peace and serenity. We all seek it, we all crave it and we all need it. But where is it exactly? You may be like me and think it’s just in the absence of noise or conflict. But it’s not in the absence those things. It’s the tranquil feeling that’s not dependent on you circumstances. The peace we seek is called Jesus. You see, Jesus doesn’t want to give you peace. No, He wants to BE your peace. He’s the only real place to find it. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”John 14:27 Look, I get it, we sometimes think we can find it in a place or with someone. But the truth is, the peace we want can only be found in our building relationship with Christ. As our relationship grows with Him, so does our sense of Peace. Dig?Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of God during conflict. Ya’ll have a good weekend now, ya hear. Be nice. Grace Wins.
