Justified by Faith: Getting Right with God
I’ve been thinking the last couple of days about the journey we have been on together and some of the topics I chase down a rabbit hole. Not that I think they’re necessarily bad topics or irrelevant, I just think it’s good to get back to center. Level set, if you will. So, with that being said, I want to talk about being justified. What do I mean when I say, “justified”?I mean being made right with God. “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”Romans 5:1 You see, what’s so cool about this, is this getting right with God isn’t something we earned through work. We got it through faith and faith alone. Faith is the only way we can earn our salvation. Faith is receiving something, not doing something. The gospel of grace, faith alone, Christ conquers all of our human pride. If we are saved by anything we do, then we can take some of the credit. But if Christ did it all and we just receive it, then all glory goes to Christ. So, I talk about this today because I think we need the continuous reminder that we get in by grace, not by performance. Jesus paid it all. We simply receive it by faith. Faith plus nothing. Amen!Be Nice, Grace Wins.

The Most Expensive Gift
Grace. What is it exactly? Paul says we can't earn God's favor by works. Righteousness comes through faith. Grace is the most expensive gift, given freely to the one who puts his faith in Jesus.

Not Earned
Confidence in our salvation doesn't come from our good works, it comes from God's grace. Our good works are the result of our faith, not a requirement for it.
