Learning Patience Through Three Years of Fighting
So as I drove to my CT Scan yesterday, I got to thinking a bit about just how long I’ve been on this fight. July will be three years. It’s amazing to watch the world go by, everyone scrambling about dealing with their own issues and lives. While I still have treatments ahead of me indefinitely, it’s taught me to learn some patience and some more Grace to those who’s lives aren’t affected by mine and those that are…You see, we live in a world that is going by so fast that finding patience is becoming a lost art. However, one of the best ways to be patient is to carry on with life, knowing God is in control...not you. I will say it one more time, “God is in control, not you.” “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”Romans 5:3-4 I think we need to learn to love under pressure. To smile kindly when things around us are crumbling. After all, we’ve survived 100% of the things that has happened in our lives already, stands to reason we’ll probably make it through this too...Learn to endure, builds character. Be Nice. Grace Wins.
