Living in the Now: God's Call for Today
Let’s shift gears a little and talk about where we are going? This time next year, where do you want to be? Who do you want to be? What type of follower of Christ, spouse or parent do you want to be? Whatever the answers are to those questions, know this: God’s calling you to live in the NOW & start TODAY—not the THEN. For years I always prayed for God to make me a better man. Not knowing what that meant and how to get to where I didn’t know I needed to go. You see, I was so worried about tomorrow and ashamed of yesterday I couldn’t live for today. But God has given me new opportunities, new chances to make right choices or new chances to make wrong choices. This new opportunity is in your hands— the enjoyment of your life is up to you and the path your life takes is up to you. God won’t choose for you— He’ll warn you, instruct you, prompt you, encourage you in the right direction, but at the end of the day, you are where you are because of the choices you made, the places you walked into, and the relationships you cultivated or destroyed. You will be where you are because you either start living for today or because you stayed in the THEN. Without a set path planted in God’s Word & presence and a set crew of people cheering you on as you intentionally pursue goals & aspirations in every area of your life this year, you’ll be on a path aimlessly wandering for direction, purpose, and vision.“Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.”Proverbs 29:18 Be intentional in your Faith.Be nice. Grace wins.
