Restored After Suffering: God's Promise
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”1 Peter 5:10 I love this verse from Peter. You see, Peter is telling us that all Christians are going to suffer and in various ways. Our salvation doesn’t eliminate troubles and pain on this side of eternity. But what it does promise it that one day our troubles will end and end forever. Look, we are going to have troubles here. We’ve seen and we’re seeing it now. But keep in mind, the beauty and the promise of our life in Christ was not for a trouble free trip around sun, it was for the peace of knowing that when this is over we will be restored to perfection. We may feel weak now. We may sense ourselves being worn out and tired and feel like all our opportunities and prospects in this life shrink away. But once our God calls us home, God will restore every last thing of value, and much more. He will make us strong and secure forever...and that my friends is what this trip is all about!Be Nice, Grace Wins
