Start Saying Yes to Him Again
So I got to thinking about how life seems to ebb and flow with good times and bad. More specifically, as I was resting after treatment feeling a little rough, I got to thinking about how we can get stuck in the bad. I'm talking about that "stop the world I just want to get off this ride" feeling. We've all had it, but what do we do to get off "that ride"?
Everything is not going to go perfectly at all times, but there are times in my life where nothing is working and I know it's because of an action or inaction on my part. I was willingly disobedient in an area, putting my thoughts higher than the His thoughts and as a result, nothing was working. Basically forcing MY PLAN for me instead of trust the one He has for me. If you think about it, it gives meaning to the phrase, "experience is what you get when what YOU want doesn't work out..."
But we can do something, we can repent. Just a simple submission to God saying we're sorry and ask for forgiveness can usually get us right back on track. Yeah, it may not be immediately or when YOU think YOU need it, but you can take it to the bank it will be when He wants you to have it. That's good enough for me man.
"God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land." Psalms 68:6
Start saying yes to Him, it may be it'll work itself out...

Have This Mind
On Friday we talked about choosing humility before our feet hit the floor. Today, Paul shows us why. Jesus emptied Himself, that's the bar.

Before Your Feet Hit the Floor
Before your feet hit the floor each morning, surrender the day to Him. Humility isn't thinking less of ourselves, it's thinking of ourselves less often. His will over our own.

What Does It Matter?
When you find yourself judging someone else's motives for sharing the gospel, ask what Paul asked from his prison cell: what does it matter? As long as Christ is preached.
