To Be Forgiven, You Must Forgive Others
So hear’s a thought…I’ve been talking last week about forgiving and how we can and should. But do you want others to forgive you? Even more importantly, do you want God to forgive you? My cousin and I talked about this just last night. You see, in order to be forgiven, you also have to be able to forgive. That applies to others just as well as to yourself. What happens if you don’t forgive? Well, you will miss out on a wonderful life and probably feel resentful, miserable, and angry instead. How is God supposed to forgive you if you can’t forgive? Dig what I’m saying? This is not what He wants for you and your life. Nope. See, God has gifted each and every one of us with a special gift. He created you in order to fulfill a specific role to perform a specific mission for which you need all your energy. So let’s not waste that energy on resentment and anger. Let’s forgive, bear good fruit and love one another as He loves us. Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”Matthew 6:9-15 Happy Monday! Be Nice. Grace Wins.
