Understanding God's No for Your Good
When we talk about our struggles and how we are just trying to get through “it” aren’t we really just talking about how we are to deal with God’s NO? I always tend to think about these things when we approach a new year and start making plans for “new year, new me” stuff. I mean think about most of the disappointments you’ve experienced. Probably the one thing they all had in common is they didn’t fit into your plan or what you wanted, right? Yeah, me too. In my life, much like you, I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten the “No” from God. And at the time it never seemed to make much sense. Never does. But when I looks back I can see that each one saved me from a pain I couldn’t see at the moment. The pain may have been financial trouble, relationship disasters, or unnecessary risk. (Not to include motocross and flying risks, I still take those)I couldn’t understand it in the moment, but afterward, down the road and past the short-term pain of hearing another no, I could see the benefit and thank God for His abundant wisdom.God’s no is always, always for your good.“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”Jeremiah 29:11 Be Nice. Grace Wins.
