What Comes from the Heart Matters Most
“But Peter said to him, "Explain the parable to us." And he said, "Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone."”Matthew 15:15-20 Man, we sure do worry about how we are on the outside when we should be focused on what’s on the inside and what comes out of our mouth. Jesus said the words that comes from our mouths are from the heart. What is coming out of our heart is what defiles us, that is what makes God reject our prayers. What is happening in your minds today? Is it thoughts that line up with the heart of God? We all struggle with our minds (what little I have left) so let God transform your mind. The Word of God everyday brings this kind of transformation. Worship and praise brings this kind of transformation. Giving with a thankful heart brings this kind of transformation. Humbling ourselves to bless others brings this kind of transformation. Pick one today to focus on!Be nice. Grace wins.
