When God is Silent: Leaning Into Faith
So I’ve been reading thinking about prayer and when God is listening. Does he take a break from listening? Naw, he’s always there...But how do we react when God is silent? You see, God uses silence to draw out faith. Great faith! When God is silent, do we listen to voices that question our right to hear from God, do we speak doubt, speak opposition or do we lean into God? It depends on whether we believe God will hear and answer our prayers or not. If we do, we lean in. If we do not, then God’s silence exposes our limited level of faith. Note, faith is not defined by the type of answer God gives (sometimes the answer is no!), but rather whether we lean in to get an answer from God when He is silent. How long until your faith is defined not by the answers God gives you, but your willingness to put everything in his hands and truly lean on God and trust in him? Because that’s real faith...“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7 Be Nice, Grace wins.

Soliciting vs. Understanding
We say Lord willing, but do we actually trust His answers? Prayer and trust go hand in hand. I'm trying to spend my prayer time understanding God rather than soliciting Him.
