What Is Grace Exactly?
Grace. What is it exactly? I mean I sign off with,“Grace wins” everyday, but what exactly am I talking about? Well, in the book of Romans, Paul tells us that we can’t receive God’s favor, become righteous, by works alone. Meaning simply obeying the laws of the land wouldn’t get us His favor. So, in short, God sent His son Jesus to die a horrible death to pay for our sins. Thereby extending His “grace” to all that believe and have faith in Jesus. “the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”Romans 3:22-24 Faith is putting the weight of your life on something that you believe in and trust. Paul is saying that for now, in this day and time, there’s a new way of standing right before God in righteousness and that is through faith. Righteousness with God is not earned. All of us have sinned and failed. Not one of us can say we obeyed all His laws perfectly, not one. But thats ok...we are justified by God’s Grace. And being “justified” means we are all good and declares the believer righteous. So, what we learn is that grace is the most expensive gift but given freely to the one who puts his faith in Jesus. You dig? Be Nice. Grace Wins.
