Always, Always Doing Us Good
Listen, I've been rambling on for the past week about our bad habits and how God can remove them from us and restore us. So check this out.
"Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Revelation 3:19-22
You are not defined by your mistakes or your mishaps or how well you did at school, work, racing, golf, or whatever. Because if Christ is in you, then you are an infinite number of hopeful and wonderful possibilities, all headed toward healing and joy.
God hears you and will deliver you from your troubles.
He may not do it the way we hope, or think we need. And He rarely, if ever, does it in the time frame we pray for.
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28
But God is always, always doing us good. He will use our problems to do us good. He will use our hardships to do us good. He will use our addictions to do us good. He will use our grief to do us good. He doesn't need goodness to do us good. He is a God who can make beauty from ashes and joy from heaviness.
We belong to God, and we are loved by Him.
Let that wash over you today, and have an awesome weekend.
Be Nice. Grace Wins.

A Clean Heart
We all need reconnection with God and people. Without it, we numb the pain with something else. David's prayer for a clean heart shows us the way through. Ask God for help with what triggers you.

Straying Sheep
He bore our sins in His body on the tree, and by His wounds we are healed. Sheep don't run away all at once, they wander a little at a time. You're not too far gone for the Shepherd to find you.

Setback, Not Defeat
How fast do you bounce back after a loss? Low faith opens the door to fear, and fear invites shame. But a setback is not a defeat. Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial.
