Cast Your Burdens: God's Strength in Life's Struggles
23“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”Psalm 55:22 Psalm 55 addresses the struggles that can overwhelm us in this life. It’s everything from the depths of emotion we face in death, loss, and grief, to the everyday disappointments in broken relationships and missed opportunities. What’s cool though, is we aren’t alone in this and we’ve been told just that. “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”Isaiah 43:19 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.””Joshua 1:9 So listen, instead of praying for your troubles to go away. Pray for the courage to keep your chin up and face your struggles head on knowing that God is always at our side through it all. Be nice. Grace wins.

Not a Verdict
Job was righteous and suffered. Jesus said the sun rises on the evil and the good. Suffering is not a verdict on your standing with God. We all suffer. The reward is eternal.
