Choosing Others Over Ourselves in Crisis
So, I feel inclined to write to all of you today about the hysteria surrounding the Corona Virus. What I have to say isn’t about whether or not it is a “real threat”. As Christians, we can take on a selfless position and become part of the problem instead of part of the solution. You see, not long after this started I was of the “this is stupid” party. Well, that was because I felt like it was interfering with MY life and inconveniencing ME. I wasn’t really thinking about those who would really suffer during this period both physically and economically. Maybe I’m the only one who thought this way initially...maybe not. So, here is my suggestion and the position I am taking. Let’s not focus on ourselves throughout this and how it effects us but rather those that can’t protect themselves and my not be able to survive the virus. I’m talking about the disabled and the elderly. While we may think we aren’t hurting anyone, we could just be carrying the virus and giving it to someone who can’t fight it. “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”Philippians 2:3-4 Be Nice, Grace Wins. fmj

Reluctant Heroes
No hero in the Bible ever set out to be one. Mary, David, Abraham, they just did what was in front of them. Walk humbly with your God. That's the whole thing, isn't it?

A Love for Truth
When you tell lies, you're not just lying to others, you're lying to yourself, and lying to God. Jesus called lying Satan's native language. Let your love for God be accompanied by a love for truth.
