Faith Gets Us Through Tough Times
This is a hard morning to write to you all as within the hour or sending our message out yesterday, my father passed away. But I’m not going to sit here and talk about his death, but rather something he believed in and said often in the face of tragedy. “I don’t see how people make it through tough times with out faith.”It’s a valid statement and I don’t see how non-believers can do it. But thankfully, as Christians, we don’t have to know. We have been given the promise of eternal life and forgiveness through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And the best thing is, it’s been bought and paid for by Him. As my dad would jokingly say, “It don’t cost nothin’!” All we have to do is believe and have faith. “"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16 My dad led a lot of people to Faith and was a fisher of men. He taught me faith and showed me what it meant to have it. I’ve written about God’s plan for each of us more than a few times over the last year. He has one for you and he’s working it now. It may not be the one you thought you’re entitled to have, but have faith, I can assure you it is the plan your supposed to have. God used my dad until he was ready and has called him home. That faith that he taught us all is what gives me peace that he is with The Father. “Go rest high on that mountainSon, your work on earth is done.Go to heaven a-shoutin'Love for the Father and the Son.” -Vince GillGrace wins,Frank Mann, Jr.
