Finding Purpose in the Mundane Monday
It’s Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the weekend. This has been one of those weeks full of “are you serious?”, and “Hello, anybody home?!”. Lol. But, hey that’s work sometimes, right? We are very blessed to do what we do. And there are many out there who don’t have the “work” and would love to have to deal with the mundane issues I mentioned above. “Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;”Matthew 9:37 But it’s still work. It’s one of those things that we typically don’t look forward to. How many times have you struggled to get out of bed on a Monday morning dreading the simple thought of getting up, doing your morning routine, firing up the laptop, or clocking into your place of employment? It’s easy to look at these things as ordinary and mundane. Not every blessing we are given looks like a shiny trophy all the time, but every blessing can be used as a tool. Jesus told His disciples that “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Before we talk about trophies or tools we need to discuss the importance of work. Luckily we don’t have to work to earn God’s grace or salvation. We work because we know that we have been saved. We continue to work because Jesus continues to work in us. We choose to work everyday as soon as our feet hit the floor because our God has chosen us for a specific purpose, daily. It’s our path, however different each of ours may be. So, let try and shake it off today, focus on finding joy in what may seem ordinary. Jesus has a purpose for you today that only you were designed to complete. Pray for guidance, vision, availability, and obedience.Have a great weekend! I’m going racing, yep again! Ha!Happy Father Day to all the dads out there!Peace,
