Getting Back on Track: The Power of Repentance
I got to thinking about how life seems to ebb and flow with good times and bad. More specifically, I got to thinking about how we can get stuck in the bad. I’m talking about that “stop the world I just want to get off this ride” feeling. We’ve all had it, but what do we do to get off “that ride”? Everything is not going to go perfectly at all times, but there are times in my life where nothing is working and I know it's because of an action or inaction on my part. I was willingly disobedient in an area, putting my thoughts higher than the His thoughts and as a result, nothing was working. Basically forcing MY PLAN for me instead of trust the one He has for me. If you think about it, it give meaning to the phrase, “experience is what you get when what YOU want doesn’t work out...”But we can do something, we can repent. Just a simple submission to God saying we’re sorry and ask for forgiveness can usually get us right back on track. Yeah, it may not be immediately or when YOU think YOU need it, but you can take it to the bank it will be when He wants you to have it! That’s good enough for me man. “God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.”Psalms 68:6 Start saying yes to Him, it may be work itself out...Be Nice, Grace Wins

We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

The Most Expensive Gift
Grace. What is it exactly? Paul says we can't earn God's favor by works. Righteousness comes through faith. Grace is the most expensive gift, given freely to the one who puts his faith in Jesus.

Not Earned
Confidence in our salvation doesn't come from our good works, it comes from God's grace. Our good works are the result of our faith, not a requirement for it.
