God's Word: Your First Call for Guidance
How often do you find yourself picking up the phone and calling close friends, colleagues, family, etc. when you have a big decision to make? If you’re like me, probably a lot…Crazy to think sometimes the last thing we do when we face obstacles is consult God’s Word. We turn to other people for advice. We take a trial and error approach, or we spend our days worrying and feeling helpless and even hopeless. Sometimes all these efforts serve only to turn molehills into mountains. But when our go to response to problems is prayer and meditation on God’s Word, we are more likely to find just what’s needed. You picking up what I’m putting down here?“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”Psalms 119:103-105 I kind of like to think of it like this, and it happens a lot. I will have a friend finally reach out to me and ask me for an answer on something I had no idea about. They will say to me, “I tried to call you!”, to which my response is always, “did you leave a message?” Inevitably the answer is, “NO” and I always follow up with, “if I don’t know you called or know what you need, how can I help you?”Same deal with God. If you’re not calling Him and you’re not asking Him, he’s not answering. Seems simple enough to me. Be Nice, Grace WinsFMJ

The Very Thing
When Paul said give thanks in all circumstances, he meant ALL. Including the crappy ones. Try thanking God today for the very thing that's keeping you from thanking Him.

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.
