Grace Greater Than Our Sin

We’ve been doing this since sometime in 2018. I know I’ve written 1014 devotionals. I don’t think that’s all of them because I’m sure I’ve accidentally deleted some and reused some…but I digress. In the beginning, I use to sign off our devotionals with God is greater than me. (God > Me) I’m sure some of you original group members remember it. So I got to reflecting on all of this and I wanted to talk about how much bigger God is than our sin. At times, we may feel overwhelmed by our sin, and that can be a good thing. There are times when we should feel our profound brokenness over sin. But we must never stay overwhelmed by our sin because the grace of God is always bigger. However great our sin, God’s grace is greater. Always.“Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,”Romans 5:20 What is noble and pleasing to God is when we come to God in childlike trust and believe that God is a God of grace, that God’s grace is greater than our sin. The greats of the Bible, men like Moses, David, and Paul, were guilty of grievous sins, even murder. But they believed in God’s grace, and God loved that. Be Nice, Grace wins.
