Jesus in the Storm
It’s pretty hard lately to “turn off” all the negativity in the world. Almost impossible. It’s as if no matter how good you think things are, the enemy is beating you back with news that’s it’s all falling apart...it’s tough enough dealing with our own lives let alone worry about the nation around us, but here we are. All of us have been through trials that left us feeling like we’ve been ridden hard and put up wet. At times our prayers are nothing more than weak submission of, “I love you.” Jesus doesn’t reject us when the storms of life leave us exhausted. He doesn’t shake his head in disappointment when our eyes of faith won’t focus. Instead, through His amazing grace, he climbs into the boat to be with us.“Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray. And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land. And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded,”Mark 6:45-51 So look, when ever “we” are in the middle of a storm, like the one “they” keep telling us we are in, turn your heart to the Lord, He see us. No matter how dark and gloomy things are, Jesus can turn things around in an instant. When you’ve been going through a trial and it is beating you down, it’s tempting to become negative and angry. The enemy loves to remind us how bad things are. He wants us to be consumed with despair. The good news is that hopelessness and glory cannot coexist!Trials are opportunities to see God do amazing things! Have a great weekend!Be Nice, Grace Wins
