Retreat or Restore

This life isn't easy. In fact, it's hard. We all have struggled and we all have failed, but we must move on.

Too often, after our greatest failures, we want to shrink back and hide, avoid confrontations and people. Hiding feels safer in the moment. Nobody has to see the mess. But hiding also means nobody helps you clean it up.

Real men own up to their failures and find redemption. This is where we find our true character. In the thick of our greatest messes, we are given a choice, retreat or repent and restore.

That's exactly the promise God gives us when we choose to come clean instead of covering up.

Confession isn't just a one-time altar moment. It's a daily practice of naming what's true and letting God do what only He can do with it.
