Right Heart, Right Environment - Walking with God
So many times we think we are doing the right thing in our relationship with God but with no result. Most of the time it’s because we have put ourselves in the wrong environment. Think of it this way, if you are under water trying to breathe and you’re inhaling and exhaling, you’re doing everything right, but it’s not working because you’re in the wrong environment. When you’re trying to build a relationship with God, your mind and body has to be right. If it’s prideful, boastful or just “looking like a Christian” then you are working out of the flesh trying to get to God. You have to walk with Him in humility and faith. “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord! I have fled to you for refuge. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life! In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble! And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies, and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul, for I am your servant.”Psalm 143:8-12 Ask God for help in changing the environment of your mind and I think you will find it easier to breathe.
