Spiritual Protection: Being Ready for the Unexpected
I’m so sorry I missed yesterday, but my Tuesday treatments have become so agonizing that I’m wiped out for a solid 48 hours. But, I’m back and feeling better this morning…thanks for your patience and prayers. Why do we protect ourselves with seat belts when driving, helmets and boots when riding and life jackets when on the water? It’s so we are ready when the unexpected comes. Right? When we wear these protective devices, they don’t restrict us from enjoying the activity we’re are choosing, rather it enables us to enjoy what we are doing and feel protected. Being safe allows us to keep doing what we are doing. Dig?The same is true for the Christian faith. Many people believe becoming a Christian will restrict them from living a satisfying life. Nothing could be further from the truth! When you belong to Jesus, He’s the One who enables you to live life as it was intended, or in His words, “life to the full.” John 10-10More dangerous than riding Motocross, driving in Atlanta or going inverted on your wake board is living life without Him. My advice to you is to be prepared to meet Him at any moment because no one knows when that day will be. “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”Matthew 24:44 I’m ready, you?Be Nice. Grace wins.

The Very Thing
When Paul said give thanks in all circumstances, he meant ALL. Including the crappy ones. Try thanking God today for the very thing that's keeping you from thanking Him.

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.
