The Power of Gratitude in Building Friendships
So I was reflecting on a few things from over the last few days and specifically how thankful I am to have the people that I do in my life. I try the best I can to let you know how grateful that I truly am for you, but I may not be saying it as directly as I need to. Maybe you have people in your life that you can lift up with your gratitude simply by telling them so? Studies show that gratitude helps you make friends, deepens friendships and makes you friendlier. I don’t know about you, but I want to be regarded as a friendly person. When I cultivate a grateful heart, the people around me are impacted. I will tell you this, if someone tells me they’re thankful for me, I’m immediately grateful for them, their words and the effects of their words on my heart. In fact, a couple of you in this group are great at sending hand written notes of gratitude and encouragement. I’ve received several from you over the years and I cherish them. Maybe this is something we all should do to one another. A phone call is nice, a text is easy , but a hand written note goes a long way. Anyway you chose to do it really, is better than not expressing thanks and gratitude. “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.”Romans 1:8 Pray for one another, express your gratitude. Let’s lift each other up!Be nice. Grace wins.

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.

Nothing Compares
Much of what we're grateful for are things of this world. But in light of what we have in Christ, nothing compares. Nothing this world offers comes close to a personal relationship with Jesus.
