This Is God's World: Learning to Let Go of Control
You know, it’s tough when things don’t go the way we think they will. All of us struggle every day to try to get control of our environments. We try to build financial wealth so that we won't suffer need. We try to take care of our health so we don't feel pain or suffer illness. We try to manage our relationships to reduce stress. It is humbling, though, to realize that we aren't in control of very much. That happened to me over the weekend, and it’s hard to realize this isn’t “my world”. You see, we are all just here for a little while and this is God’s world. Regardless of how we think it should play out, it’s going to play out how he designed it to...“The earth is the Lord 's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,”Psalms 24:1 We belong to God and so does our plan. It is humbling to realize that we were created for God's benefit, that everything really belongs to him, and that we really own nothing. We are all blessed, give thanks. Have a great week. Be Nice. Grace wins.

Soliciting vs. Understanding
We say Lord willing, but do we actually trust His answers? Prayer and trust go hand in hand. I'm trying to spend my prayer time understanding God rather than soliciting Him.

A Better Script
Waiting is boring and passive, and we want things now. But waiting on God builds trust and lets us see His will unfold. When I am ready, He unfolds a script beyond anything I could write myself.
