When God Says No: He's Saving You From Yourself
I had an idea over the weekend. I thought I’d do a look back as to what we talked about this time last year and see where we are today. Should be fun, so take the time to read what we talked about a year ago this week and reflect on if we have applied anything. Am I better, worse, same?9/20/2019I was thinking all day about what I wrote about in speaking of God’s “no” and how we respond. The thing is the more I thought about it the more I realized not only is God saying no to us and our plan, he is in fact saving us from ourselves! Think about it, what would your life be like if everything you asked for you received? Would you have the same job, wife, children? I submit to you that you wouldn’t. You also wouldn’t be the person you are today.I heard it in a song yesterday, “God is not a wishing well...”. Amen to that! He ain’t Santa. Look, God’s no will prevent you from becoming the person you think you could be so that you can become the person God knows you must be.God made you, and because of that, I guarantee His perceptions of your potential are infinitely higher than your own. Don’t settle.“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”Lamentations 3:25-26Be Nice, Grace Wins,

Press On
After the inventory and the asking comes the pressing on. Forgetting what lies behind, straining toward what lies ahead. We have a new start. We choose to run.

Before Your Feet Hit the Floor
Before your feet hit the floor each morning, surrender the day to Him. Humility isn't thinking less of ourselves, it's thinking of ourselves less often. His will over our own.
