God Gives Grace to the Humble
How humble do you think you are? Are you prideful and boastful? I ask because God is close to the humble and broken hearted. No one is perfect. We all have sinned. But what makes us beloved to God is our willingness to accept our sinful condition and return to Him. You see, David was a man after God's own heart, not because he was perfect but because he was humble enough to confess his sins and cry out for God's mercy. Jesus was the perfect example of humility. In fact, he humbled himself to the point of death on a cross. Jesus didn’t fight for what was “his” , he humbled himself and laid down his life for ours. In a way, we are called to do this with each other. Not that we are to lay our lives down for one another, but we are called to humble ourselves and forgive one another as we have been forgiven. Dig?“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."”James 4:6 So God wants us to humble ourselves and come back to him despite our past and our current sinful nature. He will hear us and he will most definitely heal us! Listen, talk to God today. Tell him what’s hurting you and confess your sins to him. He’s got you, just let him have it. Happy Monday!Be Nice, Grace Wins!Peace,
