Taking Every Thought Captive
I had a good long talk with one of you yesterday and we talked about trying to control our thoughts as it pertained to the loss of a loved on and the slippery slope we can find ourselves when we allow negative thoughts and doubt to creep into our minds. It challenges our faith. This got me thinking about how critical it is that we try and keep our minds in check against the word of God. Since our minds are so powerful, we have to feed them with the right thoughts, simply because battles are won or lost in our minds first! We must renew our minds every day with God's Truth. And the key is to 'take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ'. Gauge every thought against God's Word. I think Paul nailed it in Philippians 4:8 when he wrote, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What kinds of thoughts are occupying your mind? Are they happy, sad, sinful, depressed, angry? If so, throw them out and ask for God the lay His grace upon your thoughts and ask him to help you find a good place to rest your thoughts. He will, just ask. Enjoy your 24Be Nice, Grace wins!FMJ--

More Than Enough
Jesus doesn't need the sharpest tool in the shed. Two fish and five loaves, a shepherd's stick, whatever you've got, is more than enough. The Lord specializes in turning failures into successes.

In the Majority
If God is for us, who can be against us? A jealous God asks for our faithfulness in return, and gives us a friend who sticks closer than a brother. If God is on our side, we're in the majority.
