Let Go and Let God: The Refreshing Power of Repentance
I was thinking last night about my life and how it has changed over the years. It’s funny, things that I thought I couldn’t do without are oddly no longer part of my life. You know, thinking about our past and learning to let God show us a new way of life has me thinking about repentance. We all have stuff in our lives that we are still holding on to. For some, it’s a secret activity or habit that nobody else knows about. But it’s time to let it go...What is it for you? What do you need to let go of? God rarely puts something new in your life until you let go of something old and broken. But we know we can’t let go of whatever it is and we can’t move forward without God. We need his help. Keep in mind that repentance doesn’t mean feeling bad. As a matter of fact, the Bible says true repentance leads to “times of refreshing” from the Lord. Repentance is about starting over and admitting, “I need help.” This call to repent, to turn away from our sin and return home to God, is for everyone.“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,”Acts 3:19 Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Paid in Full
A Cody Johnson lyric stopped me cold: Jesus has already paid every debt I owe. Most of us walk around with a tally sheet. But the books were balanced two thousand years ago. Tetelestai. Paid in full.
