Find Him in the Ordinary
You ever stopped for a minute and looked around at all the blessings God has bestowed on you? We all get excited and share His work when it's something big like a new job or the birth of a child. But do you ever really stop and look around and see how His blessings are everywhere? Think about it a minute.
We have a choice to rush through our days or to find Him in the ordinary moments of life. The praiseworthy moments happen every day, and we can blow right past them in the busyness and the frustrations.
Our natural tendency is self-centeredness. That tendency causes us to look to the next thing, or to what others are doing, instead of acknowledging His goodness right in front of us.
When was the last time you went hungry? When did you not have a roof over your head? How about the little chats with your kids, or the slight smile from your spouse that says, "I love you" without saying a word.
I thought about it yesterday spending some time with my dogs. They need me. They rely on me. And that is a true blessing from God. All of it is.
We need to be just as grateful for the little things as we are for the big ones.
All of it is praiseworthy. We have so much to be thankful for.
"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds."

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.

Nothing Compares
Much of what we're grateful for are things of this world. But in light of what we have in Christ, nothing compares. Nothing this world offers comes close to a personal relationship with Jesus.

Bloom Where You Are Planted
God didn't put you where you are by mistake. Bloom where you are planted, pray for the place and the people, and stand still while He fights the battle for you.
