Let Your Light Shine: Living Credible Faith
Should we care what people think of us? Should we care what we post on social media? I mean, we hear all the time, “God’s judgement is the only one that matters”, right? While I agree with the later, I disagree. We should care what others see from us, it’s our light. As disciples of Christ, we need to let that light shine! “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”Matthew 5:16 You see, Christians who do not have changed lives have a credibility gap. For example, if I am trying to tell you how great my doctor is but I’m dying under his treatment, you’re probably going to question his skill. If I tell you my financial planner is “the man” but I work three jobs, you may not be calling him. What good does it do to tell people how great our Savior is if they can’t see that we have been saved from sin? See what I’m saying?I think it’s not about being perfect, it’s about bearing good fruit. Attraction becomes Promotion. Be a light!Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Attraction, Not Promotion
How exactly are we an effective witness? Like a branch drawing life from the vine, we grow so the fruit we bear points back to Jesus. Attraction, not promotion.

Street Cred
Our trials build credibility in our testimony, street cred in Christ. You wouldn't take flying lessons from someone who's never been in the cockpit. Paul wrote about standing firm from a prison cell.

Doers, Not Just Hearers
Many people walk away from church because they think Christians are hypocrites. Hypocritical moments happen, but a hypocritical lifestyle is a problem. Let's be doers, not just hearers.
