My Plans vs His Plans: Learning to Yield
21I had a long conversation last night before writing our devotional with a buddy who’s trying to figure out what he should do with a relationship. Specifically, is he seeing the girl God wants him to be with. Well, you know where this went…You see, I choose to be a believer so that God could make miracles happen in my life. Forgiveness and eternal life. Every time I have tried and figure things out myself, I’ve failed. Oh, don’t get me wrong, my intentions were always good but my plan was mine. And in my unconscious attempt at rebellion of Gods will for me, I screw it up...true story. Some may call it being stubborn, over confident or wreck less. However you label it, it’s as if I somehow think that my 52 years on this earth and the “knowledge” I acquired trumps the creators knowledge of what is good for me. But you know what, it’s ok. Because I eventually know where to go, I eventually yield my problems to The Lord and he always gives me the answer I’m seeking. Sometimes the answer comes in the form of a different type of messenger, but it comes. I'm comforted to know that God will get a message to me even in the midst of my rebellion to “do it my way” to lead to me out. “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”Romans 10:14 Be Nice, Grade Wins!
