Pride Goes Before the Fall
The Bible tells us that the devil lost everything he had because arrogance took roots in his heart. How many times have we watched this play out in the lives of famous athletes, celebrities and even people we’ve know in our open lives? We need to be careful with our thoughts. Some of them are proud and can push us out of the presence of God. But we have the power to make these thoughts obey Christ. The Bible tells us “ We break down every thought and proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). When our thoughts come into obedience with God, then God takes always the first place. Do you think that you succeed in life because of your strength and effort? It is pride. Or do you still know that your life depends on God alone? The Lord wants us to understand all the riches which are already prepared for us. What he has for you is above your expectation, remember that God’s ways are “ far beyond anything you could imagine”. By human wisdom you’re not going to get it. So let the Spirit of the Lord who lives in you to reveal them to you. “But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him.”Daniel 5:20 Be Nice. Grace Wins
