The Peace That Only God Can Give
Yesterday was my “Treatment Tuesday,” and after going through this for as long as I have, I’ve found a lot of peace in it. Seems like a strange thing to say, but I have.
You see, in my daily prayer with God, I’d say the number one thing I ask for is peace. Not much of anything matters to me as much as the sense of peace and serenity that only God can give. Like most everyone, I’ve seen some hard times. And I’m sure there may be more during my earthly life. But with the peace only God can give, I can handle it. So can you.
Are you in a dark place right now? Are you praying for His peace?
You may be thinking, “Yeah, Frank, but you don’t know the hell I’m facing right now.” And you’d be right, I don’t. But God does. And His promise of peace in the midst of your circumstance is exactly what He can, and will, give to you.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7
I talked about this a week or two ago. Instead of praying for the trouble to go away, try praying for His peace and strength to see it through, and you might even ask for the wisdom to understand it. I think you’ll find that it works better.
Be Nice. Grace wins.
