The Very Thing
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
1 Thessalonians 5:18
So what did Paul mean when he said "give thanks in all circumstances"? Did he mean all the good ones, the ones going your way? Or did he mean ALL the circumstances you're in?
Yup. Including the crappy ones you can't understand why you're in them.
You see, we get to ask God for His eyes to see our circumstances and thank Him in all of them. Regardless of how we feel about them, regardless of the impact they're making on our lives, we get to thank Him. We have no idea how these circumstances are shaping us, protecting us, and pointing us to Him.
Look, man, I get it. It's not an easy thing to find gratitude in sitting in traffic or having cases at work blow up on you. But understand this. You are where you are for a reason. He has a plan for you, and He is calling you to look to Him.
What's really keeping you from giving God thanks for ALL you're going through?
It may not be comfortable, but I promise, it's worth it.
Try thanking God today for the very thing that's keeping you from thanking Him...
It's a mindset of intentionality that will reshape your life.
Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.

Nothing Compares
Much of what we're grateful for are things of this world. But in light of what we have in Christ, nothing compares. Nothing this world offers comes close to a personal relationship with Jesus.
