This World Needs Jesus: Be Bringers of Hope
Well, we’ve made it to Friday. It’s been a weird week for me for sure. But something stood out this week that’s been eating on me. I had a conversation with a guy I know and he referred to something that clearly had God’s hands written all over it as, “that’s just good Juju…” whatever that means. This isn’t the first time lately I’ve heard people dismiss God and give credit to some stupid notion of “Karma”, “Juju”, “Luck”, etc. To be honest, it’s a bit disappointing and frustrating…“What this world needs is some Jesus!” People just don’t believe in much of anything anymore. They mock it all. All social institutions are viewed as inherently flawed and passé, government is assumed to be abusive; businesses all just organized rip-offs; the church corrupt and lying; and monogamous, lifelong marriage just slavery. Our world needs Christians and the Christian message more than ever. We can be bringers and explainers of hope to a world that is desperate for something noble and big and good to believe in again. We can spread a message that our God is still powerful and wise and loving and that he is already living in the future to make it better for his believers. Who could be more of an idealist than a biblical Christian? For believers the future is always better than the past. Christ makes optimists of us all, and He is already writing the ending chapters of the book of our lives and they contain a happy ending. Who doesn’t need to hear that!? “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”Psalms 27:14 Be Nice. Grace wins. Y’all have a good weekend…stay dry.

The Most Expensive Gift
Grace. What is it exactly? Paul says we can't earn God's favor by works. Righteousness comes through faith. Grace is the most expensive gift, given freely to the one who puts his faith in Jesus.

Not As the World Gives
Can we have peace when our world is turned upside down? The world's peace is sketchy. Jesus offers a different kind, built on God Himself, that thrives in the storm.

He's Not Finished
Are you living in growth mode with Christ? None of us are going to get there in this life, and that's okay. God has more patience than we do, and He's not finished with us yet.
