Trusting God's Perfect Timing and Plan
So at the race this weekend, I got into a conversation with a good friend about what God’s plans may and may not be for him, etc.For those of you who have been on this devotional for a long time, you know I tend to go back to discussing “God’s plan” and His timing for you a lot. I do it because, like you, I get frustrated with timing and need to be called to the mat and reminded...even if I’m reminding myself. So this message is for you. You who is waiting for a change. You who is longing to see God do “a new thing”...Look, I understand, trusting God is the hardest lesson to learn, but it is also the most crucial. Because trusting yourself can oftentimes be easier than trusting God. The key is remembering that God loves you too much to answer your prayers at any other time than the right time and in any other way than the right way. He knows your needs and your desires — However, let Him use His perfect wisdom, His perfect timing, and His perfect knowledge of you to fulfill His plan for your life. He want to give you a peace that will never die nor fade. The bottom line is, we need to stop defining peace and comfort by our own standard, and we need to start defining it according to God’s standard.“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”Matthew 6:31-33 Be Nice, Grace Wins
